RICK'S MAIL ORDER SITE FOR
 T 'ai Chi Chih®

T'ai Chi Chih®  (TCC) is a moving meditation, with far-reaching benefits. The slow, soft movements have a real effect on blood pressure, weight control, and other physical aspects, but TCC goes much deeper than physical therapy. The circulation and balancing of the Chi is the great secret of life. It is a very valuable exercise that affects the inner organs as well as the muscular structure.

A WORD FROM RICK

If this is your first experience with T'ai Chi, may I suggest  2  things to do that will enhance your practice? These are the things that my students find  the most difficult to do. I have been teaching this for 27 years, and credit T'ai Chi for a large part of my good health at 85 (going for 100).

I like to think of our form of the venerable T'ai Chi Chuan (2,000 years old - our form is only 30 years old) as an Americanized version of it. T'ai Chi Chuan has 108 move- ments, done sequentially ( a lot of memory work!), while our form of T'ai Chi Chih ®(pronounced "chuh") has only 20 movements, and one can do them in any sequence for full benefit. The sequence Justin Stone does on the video tape I am sending you is the same as I teach in my classes, and has worked out real well over the years. But, you can change it if you like.

The two suggestions I have are:

1.) SLOW DOWN! Most Americans move fast, that is our nature. Accept a new idea - many benefits accrue if you will do the movements S-L-O-W-L-Y.

2.) MAKE TIME! to practice EVERY DAY. A new habit takes repetition, and therein lies the maximum benefit for you. (Try it - you'll like it!)

Justin explains things very well on the video, but if you have any questions, or don't quite understand, please E-Mail me at rikcramer@cs.com

Thanks for your order, happy practicing!
